Massage Therapy for Salt Spring & the Gulf Islands

Saanichton Chiropractic Group is about 15 minutes from the Swartz Bay ferry terminal, and many of our massage patients come over from Salt Spring, Pender, Mayne, Galiano and Saturna. Our Registered Massage Therapists book your treatment around your sailing, so one trip gets you the care you came for.

Massage worth the ferry ride

Our Registered Massage Therapists provide clinical, hands-on treatment for:

  • Deep tissue and therapeutic massage for long-standing tension, neck and back pain
  • Sports massage for training, recovery and returning from injury
  • Myofascial release for stiffness and restricted movement
  • Prenatal massage with safe, comfortable positioning through pregnancy
  • Injury recovery after a car accident or work injury, with direct billing to ICBC and WorkSafeBC

Sessions are 45, 60 or 90 minutes. If you’re making the trip, a longer session is often the best use of your time.

Booked around your sailing

  • Tell us your ferry. We’ll find a massage time that works with your sailing in and out.
  • Pair it with chiropractic or athletic therapy. Book appointments back to back so you get more done in one trip. See our chiropractic page for Gulf Islands patients.
  • Ferry running late? Call us. We understand when a sailing is delayed, full or cancelled, and we’ll fit you in later in the day where we can or rebook you.
  • Free parking in our rear lot off Island View Road, with an elevator up to the clinic.

Meet our massage therapists

Our RMTs are Sarai Goodwin, Delaney Booker and Jacob Potter. Each brings a different focus, from women’s health and myofascial work to sports and rehabilitation massage, and they work closely with our chiropractors and athletic therapist.

Coverage and billing

Most extended health plans in BC cover Registered Massage Therapy, and we direct bill most major insurers, so in most cases you only pay any portion your plan doesn’t cover. ICBC covers massage therapy after a crash, and we handle the paperwork. See fees and direct billing.

Frequently asked questions

How far is the clinic from the Swartz Bay ferry?

About 15 minutes by car, straight down the Pat Bay Highway to Saanichton.

What if my ferry is late or cancelled?

Call us at 250 223 0200 as soon as you know. We understand last-minute changes caused by the ferry and will fit you in later in the day where we can or move your appointment.

Can I book massage and chiropractic on the same day?

Yes. Many island patients book them back to back. Let us know your sailing times when you book and we’ll line them up.

Do I need a doctor’s note for massage?

Not to book with us. Some extended health plans ask for a referral before they’ll pay, so check your plan if you’re unsure.
