Saanichton Chiropractic Group is heavily involved in the Saanich Peninsula community. Since 2017, Dr. Mike Hadbavny and Dr. Ashley Murray have treated athletes at local events, sponsored local teams and riding associations, and helped raise money for local trail and outdoor charities.

Dr. Mike Hadbavny is the team chiropractor for Pacific FC in the Canadian Premier League and the Victoria Grizzlies in the BCHL, and has worked with the Victoria Highlanders FC since 2017. He has also treated athletes at the Canada Winter Games, the Invictus Games and the World Games. Read more about Dr. Hadbavny’s work in sport.

Dr. Ashley Murray is an avid equestrian and has sponsored and supported Island riding groups for almost ten years, including the Vancouver Island Hunter Jumper Association and Victoria-Saanich CADORA, and has donated to and sponsored many individual riders on their journey to success. She also runs seasonal rider biomechanics seminars that combine theory, exercises and on-horse assessments. Meet Dr. Murray.

We sponsor Central Saanich Little League every year as part of the league’s core sponsorship group. Youth sport is where a lot of good movement habits start, and we’re proud to support the families and volunteers who keep the league running.

Starting in 2016, our chiropractors worked alongside MEC at their Victoria race series, about five events a year, including Paddlefest. We set up on site to treat racers before and after their events.
Each event doubled as a fundraiser. Whatever we raised from treatments, MEC matched it, and the total went to the Southern Vancouver Island Nature Trails Society, the volunteer group that builds and maintains many of the trails our patients run and ride on.

Power To Be was a fellow sponsor at the MEC events, and we’ve worked closely with them since. The Victoria charity helps people who face barriers get outdoors and active, which lines up with what we try to do for our own patients every day.

We’ve also sponsored the Brentwood Bay Festival, among other community events on the Peninsula. If you’re organizing a local event and want to talk about support, get in touch.

Open 6 days a week, 8:00am – 6:00pm. Direct billing to most extended health plans, ICBC and WorkSafeBC.
