Knee pain can stop you running, hiking, skiing or simply taking the stairs. Our chiropractors and athletic therapist assess how your knee, hip and foot work together, treat the injured tissue, and build the strength and control your knee needs to stay healthy.
We see knee injuries from sport, work and everyday life, and we work with athletes at every level, from weekend runners to Pacific FC and the Victoria Grizzlies.
No referral needed. Online booking 24/7, or call the front desk and we will find you a time.
Pain on the inside or outside of the knee after a twist, sometimes with swelling, catching or a feeling of instability. Many meniscus tears and MCL sprains recover well with a structured rehab plan.
An ache around or behind the kneecap, worse with stairs, squatting, running downhill or sitting for long periods.
Pain just below the kneecap with jumping, running or squatting. Load management, strengthening and shockwave therapy are effective.
Sharp pain on the outside of the knee, typically during running or cycling, often linked to hip strength and training load.
Stiffness and aching in the knee, especially after rest. Exercise therapy is one of the most effective treatments, and we’ll help you stay active.
See a doctor or go to urgent care if your knee locks and won’t straighten, swells up quickly within a few hours of an injury, gives way repeatedly, or you can’t bear weight. These can point to a significant ligament or meniscus tear that may need imaging or a surgical opinion. We’ll refer you if your assessment suggests it.
Yes. Our chiropractors treat the knee and the hip and foot mechanics that load it, using hands-on therapy, taping and exercise. Dr. Mike Hadbavny is a certified sports chiropractor who treats knee injuries in professional athletes.
Often not. Research shows many degenerative and some traumatic meniscus tears do as well with exercise-based rehab as with surgery. A knee that locks or can’t straighten is the main exception.
It depends on the cause and how it responds. Pain that stays mild and settles by the next day is often fine to work through with adjusted training. We’ll give you clear guidelines rather than just telling you to stop.
