Dr. Mike Hadbavny’s work with Victoria’s sports teams and at major international games.
Dr. Mike Hadbavny is the lead chiropractor at Saanichton Chiropractic Group and a Fellow of the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences (FRCCSS(C)), one of the highest postgraduate designations available to chiropractors in Canada. He is also a member of the Fédération Internationale de Chiropratique du Sport (FICS), the international federation of sports chiropractic. He works alongside Victoria’s professional and junior sports teams, and brings the same sideline approach to every patient he treats in the clinic.
Dr. Hadbavny has been part of Pacific FC’s support team since the club’s first Canadian Premier League match in April 2019, and every season since: eight seasons and one CPL Championship. Since the 2023–24 season, Dr. Hadbavny has been team chiropractor for the Victoria Grizzlies of the British Columbia Hockey League, from opening training camp in September to the final buzzer of the playoffs. Read: four seasons in the Grizzlies’ dressing room.

Dr. Hadbavny joined the Victoria Highlanders men’s program in 2017 and worked with the team day to day through 2019. Since then, Highlanders players who pick up an injury come to the clinic for assessment and treatment under an ongoing agreement with the club. Read more about the Highlanders.

In 2027, Dr. Hadbavny has been chosen as the team medical manager for Team BC as they head to the Canada Winter Games.

You don’t need to play pro to be treated like it. The assessment, return-to-play planning and hands-on care Dr. Hadbavny uses with Pacific FC and the Grizzlies are the same ones he uses for runners, cyclists, hockey players and weekend athletes in the clinic.
