Dr. Mike Hadbavny is the founder and lead chiropractor at Saanichton Chiropractic Group. He earned his Bachelor of Physical Education from Brock University before completing his Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College — the country's most respected chiropractic institution. He subsequently earned his Fellowship in the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences of Canada (FRCCSS(C)) and holds the International Certificate in Sports Chiropractic (ICSC), credentials shared by only a small number of practitioners in the country.

What's the difference between a chiropractor and a physiotherapist?
Both chiropractors and physiotherapists treat musculoskeletal conditions, but their training and primary techniques differ. Chiropractors complete a 4-year Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree following undergraduate studies, with specialized training in spinal assessment, diagnosis, and chiropractic adjustments (joint manipulation). Physiotherapists complete a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) degree with a stronger emphasis on exercise rehabilitation and modalities.
